Created for FOODshed, curated by Amy Lipton at Smack Mellon, Brooklyn NY. It includes limited edition prints, home-brewed bottled red wine vinegar with label adaptation of Abushady’s letterhead, recipe box containing photographs that document Abushady’s apiary (ca.1920s) and Garnett’s vinegar-making process (ca.2013), an 10×8″ framed photograph of Zaky and Annie Abushady at The Apis Club ca. 1920. Dimensions variable.

Piss & Vinegar reflects on the cooperative spirit of Garnett’s grandparents, Egyptian poet and beekeeper Ahmed Zaky Abushady and his English wife Annie. The installation included bottles of Garnett’s homemade red wine vinegar and documentation of her fermentation process, an adaptation of Abushady’s Bee Kingdom logo, and photos of his apiaries in England and Egypt.
