Poetry dissolves foreign existences into itself.
~ Novalis

Concerned with story telling, poetry, history, art, archives, and beekeeping, pollen and fragments remixes imagery from materials left behind by the artist’s grandfather, Egyptian Romantic poet and bee scientist Ahmed Zaky Abushâdy (1892-1955). It refers to Blütenstaub (Pollen, 1798), a philosophical work by the German Romantic poet Novalis consisting of texts that range from laconic to dream-like to mystical.

A creative non-fiction piece accompanied by images from the series will appear in Cultural Politics, Volume 16, Issue 1, March 2020.
